This arrangement seems to me to have been written to be as note-y as possible while being as easy as possible to learn. Halvorsen certainly managed this very well. The rhythm is extremely regular and intuitive, and sections of the music repeat intuitively in different parts of the keyboard, making it so that once you learn one segment, you’ve essentially learned them all.

That’s all well and good; so why then are you suggesting this piece for a course that is ostensibly trying to challenge me, Igor?

Because the LH has some rather quick jumps to accomplish. Each section in and of itself is easy to learn, but moving from section to section is the difficulty; the only serious difficulty. The movements need to be quick to get into position, but still free and loose. No stiff jagged movement allowed. The previous few pieces in this course taught you to move freely slowly. Now you must ramp up the speed without compromising your freedom of movement.

Feel free to learn this piece completely, but you will get most of its intended utility from learning just parts 1 and 2 here.
